. The position of Associate Professor is the second most senior position=20= in the Media and Communications Program. As Deputy Director the=20 appointee will be expected to work alongside the Director in=20 day-to-day administration and contribute significantly to continued=20 development including international student recruitment, postgraduate=20= provision and research profile. The Associate Professor may be asked=20 to occasionally serve as Acting Program Director. S/he will also=20 contribute relevant expertise from the broad inter-disciplinary field=20 of media and communications, teach at undergraduate and postgraduate=20 levels as required, undertake research supervisions, and pursue=20 research grants. The successful candidate will have established=20 research interests in international communications and the=20 theorization of media and globalization. Regional expertise and an=20 ability to teach in one or more of the following would be particularly=20= welcome: Globalization and Media; Media Theory and Research Methods;=20 Mediatized Conflicts; Development Communication; Media and Everyday=20 Life.
