Researcher Digital Database for Artistic Research

Domain and department: R&D department / Research Coordination Cell
Description: In the context of the Centre for R&D Monitoring ECOOM, the researcher will study
the possibilities to develop a digital database for artistic research at Flemish
institutes for higher education. He/she will make a benchmark study about
existing artistic databases worldwide and will analyse user requirements. The
researcher will contribute to the development of a common software platform, in
cooperation with an international research consortium.
Requirements Academic Master degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of database software, MySQL, Oracle and PHP
Fluent English knowledge
Affinity with artistic sector is considered a plus
Additional information The research coordination cell supports the general research policy of the
university. Specific tasks of the cell are: policy preparing studies, research quality
assessment, providing information and advise concerning research funding and
research policy in general.
ECOOM is an interuniversity cooperation aimed at the development of a
consistent system of O&O and innovation indicators and at performing research
on this subject.
