With the recent political developments in Austria, artists and citizens
in many parts of the globe have grappled with the issue of response. How
does one respond to such an event? How does the international community
voice its reaction?   The panel "should I stay or should I ago" will try
to investigate and discuss the strategies and goals of cultural politics
in Austria on Monday, the 6th of March, 7 pm at the Tanja Grunert and
Klemens Gasser Gallery, in Chelsea. Klemens and Tanja are generously
giving us their space.  

"should I stay or should I go" is initiated by two collaboratives,
16Beaver Group and re:austria, both working to increase cultural and
political debate and to further the exchange of ideas and art in New
York (see note below). By organizing this panel we hope to raise
awareness of the gravity of the situation concerning Austria and to
foster a discussion about the range and efficacy of responses to these
recent political changes.

The following have agreed to participate: 
Renee Green (artist US), Carola Dertnig (artist Austria/US), Robert
Fleck (critic and curator Austria/France), Christoph Thun Hohenstein
(ACI, NY) and Raimund Abraham (architect Austria/US). Moderator: Rene
