With his latest mini album, 'Tourist N.B.' (released on 4/18),
Speedometer. delivered another collection of beautiful songs that
show an even higher degree of stoical refinement from the style
he established in his previous recordings. The way how he carves
out melodies by dropping every little piece of ballast is where I
think his musical perfectionism and brilliant pop sense become
most evident....

The Power of Location

The walls on the third floor of the school building were covered
with cream-colored wooden boards, and hit by sunlight shining
diagonally through a rounded window in the upper half of the wall.
Over the wood-paved floor I walked straight into the room that
was identified by a hanging sign as the "Meeting Room," where I
discovered two monochrome photographs on the wall to my right.
They were showing ten uniformed boys and girls playing contrabass,
cello and violin. Suddenly, while the photographs set me in a
strangely sad mood, the concert started....
