A prolific and distinguished advertising insider (Ty Montague) and a
major critic of the industry (Thomas Frank) will discuss the current battle
for

consumer eyeballs and how Madison Avenue is responding to the
changing media environment.

Thomas Frank is the author of One Market Under God
(Doubleday, 2000) and The Conquest of Cool (Univ. of
Chicago, 1997). He is the editor of The Baffler, a journal of
cultural criticism based in Chicago. Frank received a Ph.D. in
history from the University of
Chicago.

Ty Montague is co-creative director at Wieden + Kennedy in
New York. In his 15-year career, he has created campaigns for
national clients such as Reebok, Mercedes Benz, Coca-Cola,
Volvo, Everlast, MTV and others. Beginning in 1994, Montague
spent four years as a freelance consultant working on projects for
Wieden + Kennedy, Fallon McElligott Berlin, Hal Riney and
Ammirati Puris Lintas.
