PILNAR project: Labour market insertion of the target collective of the
project (women and young graduates), in their regions of origin. 
The Project has a strong employment commitment. 
Contextual and social objective of the project: testing new insertion 
formulas in order to avoid rural depopulation through the employment 
of the local population most likely to migrate (women and young 
graduates) within its setting.

the coastal zone (HELLAS) Leader EUReference: 8th IST call 
Description: Partners are sought with hands on experience on the following 
topic- project: INTEL.COAST aims at designing, creating and demonstrating 
a state of the art integrated solution, appropriate for managing the water 
quality related aspects and associated risks at a coastal zone. 
INTEL.COAST certainly appreciates the integrated nature of the coastal 
phenomena and the requirement for equally integrated practices. For 
practical reasons it does however restrict its objectives to the water quality 
related aspects of ICZM, although it provides for mechanisms and clear 
interfaces for the full integration of the solution in a more general management framework.

16. Virtual City Sofia University "St Kliment Ohridsky" (Bulgaria) Partner

Description: "Virtual city" a dialog between generations and cultural 
heritage. The idea of the project is in the presenting of the rich cultural 
heritage of Bulgaria in a modern and interesting for the young people 
form as a series of interactive CD-ROMs. It is also important that the 
young people themselves will be able to participate in the creation of it 
in the collecting of the materials, in discussions about the form of their 
virtual presentation, and in the implementation of the concrete technical 
operations recording, assembly and etc.

19. Spartium (Italy) Leader
EUReference: Quality of Life and Management of Living Resources - 
V framework program QoL-2001/4 Description: E.R.I.C.A. is an office
 for the develop of projects on sustainable development, based in Alba 
(Cuneo - Italy). We are presenting a project in reply to the call of 
November of the Fifth Framework program, Quality of Life, measure 5.2. 
The project aims to evaluate the possibility to develop the Spanish 
broom's (Spartium junceum) chain, since cultivation until finals products. 
The project is articulated in 5 tasks: 1 - agricultural 2 - textile 3 - industry
 of compound 4 - social aspects 5 - LCA and environmental quality

develope the project with Portugal, Spain, France and other Mediterranean

22. National Vocational Qualification (UK) Leader
The Ming-Ai (London) Institute are looking for partners, whether training 
or non-training providing institutions or employers, to link up with them. 
They require partners to apply with them for EU Funding, so that students 
can have free tuition in the UK. They provide a National Vocational 
Qualification (N.V.Q.) Programme in Catering & Supervision (with a 
Chinese Bias), the qualification of which is valid in EU countries. 
The aim of this programme is to promote Chinese menus in hotels & 
restaurants, so as to to widen job opportunities. In the current programme 
students can come to the Institute to complete Catering & Hospitality 
N.V.Q. Level I & II Food Preparation & Cooking (with a Chinese Bias) 
as well as NVQ level III Superivsory. A specialised Chinese Chef 
Training Kitchen has been purposely built for such programmes. The 
students are shown the British culture as well as placed with host-families
 to experience the British way of life. Training or non-training providing 
institutions or employers can send either their own students/trainees or 
recommend other students/trainees from their countries to come and attend 
the courses.

24. Benefiting from Internet Possibilites at Education Safely (Spain) Leader
The Regional Government of Extremadura (Spain), more concretely 
from the Regional Ministry for Education, Science and Technology 
(Information Society D.G.) is searching for partners to apply for a 
proposal for the Action Plan on Promoting Safer Use of the Internet 
(Call for proposals for awareness actions. (2001/C 308/17). Action 
Line 3.2). The project "Benefiting from Internet Possibilites at Education 
Safely" aims at making educational agents aware of the possibilities the 
Internet offers and the risks and drawbacks it presents, giving potential

27. Regional Rain Enhancement Project / RREP (FYROM) Leader

1.Weather Modification expertise with international experience, with a

countries (Greece, Bulgaria and Macedonia) are seeking EU funding 
to tirgger a regional project aimed at improving water resources in the 
named region following a decade of severe drought.

28. Kent EQUAL Employability Project (UK) Leader

Description: The objective of this EQUAL project is to develop and transfer
 new methods of supporting people from disadvantaged groups in Kent 
to take up jobs and remain in these jobs. It involves 22 local partners, 
including voluntary groups working with specific disadvantaged people,
 public sector providers of adult education and the private sector. The
 groups that we are targeting are:
- Long-term unemployed people living in socially deprived areas of Kent
- People across Kent with specific disadvantages including: problems of 
addiction to drugs or alcohol; mental health problems; learning or physical
 disability; those leaving care, and ethnic minorities, including refugees. 
The project will form an organisation to bring together unemployed members
 of these disadvantaged groups with employers, looking at the employers 
needs for skills, and the unemployed person's need for support. We are 
looking for partners for the exchange of information and experience and 
the joint development of new approaches to this problem. We hope that
 our activities with you will include:
- Exchanges of staff and service users through study tours and job shadowing
- Exchange of good practice and ideas through joint training and workshops.
- Joint development and testing of methods to deliver services
- Joint production of publications.

29. Action for Carers National (UK) Leader
EUReference: EQUAL project GB/E1027
Description: This national EQUAL project will assist "carers" to gain 
and retain employment. "Carers" are people who look after family, 
partners or friends in need of help because they are ill, frail or have a
 disability. The project will:
1. Test methods to support carers into employment in seven areas across the UK.
2. Develop a national partnership of carers, employers, unions, training 
providers, service providers, government departments and voluntary 
organisations which will use the lessons of these seven areas to influence
 the development of services in several policy areas. The project will raise
 the awareness of policy makers and service providers to the problems facing
 carers in their work, discrimination against them, and to try to include 
them in mainstream support services. The reason we are searching for 
European partners for this project is so that we can jointly develop and 
test methods for the transfer of policy and answers to the labour market 
disadvantage of carers between EU countries. We would like to create 
partnerships with two EU partners. One will be in a country with 
comparatively advanced systems for state provision of dependent care 
(e.g. Netherlands, Finland, Sweden) and one with a country with a 
tradition of care provision by the family (e.g. Italy, Spain, Portugal),
 in order to test the transfer of services. We are also interested in working
 with partners working in the fields of older workers and the development
 of flexible working practices.

30. Holistic Resettlement = Sustainable Employment (UK) Leader

Description: The purpose of this EQUAL project is to develop and test 
a national model of resettlement that ensures the progress between 
custody, community resettlement and sustainable employment for 
young offenders aged 16 to 18. The project will offer support for young
 offenders by identifying their needs and matching the offender to an 
education, training or work placement. The young person will then be 
supported by an adult volunteer (mentor). 
The types of partnership activities we would like to include are:
- Exchanges and training of staff and (if politically possible) young offenders.
- Exchange of good practice and ideas
- Job shadowing
- Training seminars and workshops
- Joint development and testing of common training materials
- Joint development of approaches to the delivery of services and the 
improvement of conditions for young offenders. To be eligible, a partner 
must have EQUAL funding.

31. Vocational training school in Aretxabaleta (Spain) Partner
We are a Secondary/Vocational training school in Aretxabaleta (north 
of Spain) and we are looking for partners to carry out a project inside 
the Leonardo da Vinci programme. We are very interested in having 
contact with schools which train students in the field of metal work.
We are thinking of a teacher visit/interchange in order to compare 
programmes, methodology, quality system,etc.

32. School without discrimination (Ukranie) Leader
"Centre Social Action" is non-governmental non-profit organization 
working in field of innovative technologies in social work with different
 target groups mostly youth. 
Types of activity:
1. creating and conducting of educational seminars and training courses 
for social workers on different topics of  practical social work (prevention
 among youth, voluntary work, work with drug users, informational 
sharing and journalism in NGO work, social advertising, work with street children);
2. conducting of prevention programs among youth (school lectures and
 workshops, street interactive actions) on health way of life, HIV
 prevention, human rights and other social problems of youth;
3. creating and spreading of informational materials and social 
advertising on social work topics (leaflets, bulletins, magazine, 
postcards, posters); 
4. enlightening of social problems in Media (consulting centre for 
journalists, media campaigns, radio talk-show);
5. arranging of youth spare time (organization of youth camp, youth
 drug-free club).

 and we organised the second meeting and the first local conference on

We are interested in particular in the dissemination of results, but we are 
also available for other activities that you will propose and for increasing 
the planning ideas. Every year, for example, we carry out a research 
(called ISNet) about use of the internet utilities by companies, banks and 
corporations of the Marche Region (www.camerawork.it/isnet ) and all 
the universities of the Marche Region are partners of the project. This 
activity can be interestig for the theme 1 which provides for the organisation
 of services for the monitoring and the evaluation of ICT in Europe, through
 existing national, european and international procedures, to work out 
significant qualitative and quantitative indicators, to improve comparative
 analysis to identify needs of further work searches in this field.
