[Nettime-bold] bifo: acount of porto alegre demonstration

A huge, incredibly huge demonstration. Hundreds of
thousands of campesinos, young workers, and students,
and people coming from every country of Latin America,
from France, from Italy has walked the streets of Porto
Alegre, today.
They cried El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido.
We know that it is not true. Also they know that it is
not true, it is not enough, to be united, to be a
pueblo united.
It is necessary something more, that we do not have,
nowadays.
But I was happy to be there, with thousand of sem terra
and metallurgicos argentinos and brasileiros.
I was happy to be with them, not because I think that
they are the solution. Not because I think that
socialism is the solution.
Socialismo is not the solution, and the huge
demonstrations are not the solution.
But those people are the fuel that is going to make
possible the solution, which will be found in the
sphere of the recombinant intelligence of the
cognitarians.
Thousand of miles northwards, in New York city, the
bosses of the Earth are gathering, protected by gunmen
and dogs, and helicopters.
They do not fear the pueblo unido.
They know that the pueblo unido can be vencido thanks
to the bombs, to the killings, to the strength of
corruption and of money.
But they do fear the collective intelligence self-
organisation against capital.
They fear the network of intelligence, which is able to
actually create a new world.
