<nettime> URGENT: Vote in ICANN elections

REGISTER TO VOTE IN ICANN ELECTIONS

Registration to vote in the Internet Corporation For Assigned Names
and Numbers (ICANN) At-large Elections ends on July 31st, 2000. The Center
for Democracy and Technology describes ICANN as follows: "If you imagine the
Internet as a city with finite borders, ICANN acts as the zoning authority
who hands out parcels of property to interested parties."

Common Cause urges you to register to vote in the ICANN elections.
Anyone who possess a valid e-mail account, postal address, and is over the
age of 16 is eligible to vote, provided they register by July 31st. To
register, go directly to ICANN's website:
	http://members.icann.org/join_now.htm

IF YOU'VE ALREADY REGISTERED ONLINE, don't forget to open your
letter (sent to your postal address and containing your registration PIN) to
complete the registration process.
