guardian version of nyt piece

http://www.observer.co.uk/comment/story/0,6903,521979,00.html

why is this book getting so much play *now*, when you can't find it anywhere
to save your life? is it just the cycle of reviews? i've been looking for it
at the local borders for months. i finally asked about it last week. the
clerk said that they sold their last copy in december and haven't restocked
it. this guardian article says the publisher has run out of copies. well,
there you have it.
