This story got a good working-over on Slashdot. Microsoft aren't entirely
guilty on this. The Kashmir issue would land them in legal hot water with
India or Pakistan, however they decided. Saudi feelings to the contrary,
MS got it right with Age of Empires: opposing armies *do* convert enemies
temples when they don't knock them down, e.g., the Hagia Sophia.

Microsoft are guilty of a lot of things, but on cultural ignorance they're
no worse than anybody else. Except with F/LOSS people, and MS are all over
them like Crusaders on Cathars.
