The cost of having two different versions to keep track of, order, manage is higher than the cost of having single-voltage vs. multi-voltage power supply - switching supplies are 'naturally' multi-voltage. To illustrate, take a look at rock-bottom priced vanilla desktop power supplies - they are all dual voltage. ===== end (of original message) # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: [email protected] and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: [email protected]
