Re: <nettime> Creative Commons enforced in court |
(NB: usual 'ianal' diclaimer applies!) Mmmmm... My 'kits reactie' (that's Afrikaans) is that this merely reflects Dutch 'copyright' law - basically French 'droit d'auteur' law, afaik - which states that you cannot republish without permission when you are a publisher yourself (not an individual person), public or not (when the author is an individual, aot a publisher or entity). And of course, that you have to exercise due dilligence at all times. I won't hold my breath yet re: CC has been upheld in court. just my 2 former Dutch cents patrizio & Diiinooos in Kenlivingstonia (LondON) # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: [email protected] and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: [email protected]
