Re: <nettime> personal life, impersonal writing


There are two situations to consider (though they may blur at the
quantum end of thing, I don't know about that).

Describing stuff.

And describing the psychological.

For scientific purposes, impersonal writing works well enough. For
the second it is not the only way. There is favour for evidence based
psychotherapy, and there is also psychotherapy based evidence.

It is easy to discount psychotherapy based evidence by the evidence
based style of criteria. Yet there is no better way of grasping
complexes, archetypes, syndromes, than being a psychotherapist.
Grasping those things in that mode involves being involved
(transference and counter-transference) so personal life counts.
