Did I disagree with that?  No, I didn't.  I think community-based ICTs
are a lovely idea.  But Jesse's message was forwarded in the context
of a discussion about nationalism, and that's what I was responding
to.

I'm not a Hobbesian, I prefer Bourdieu.  And why should ecological
sustainability and redistribution of wealth require myths at all?  Do
people need to lie to themselves in order to create a better life?  I
think not.
