Re: <nettime> N4K |
The value of nettime is that each thread provides its own format and scene. There are no comfortable and stable hooks. There is no web interface, it lives completely distributed. I am not aware of anything similar. I never thought that there were 4000 subscribers - I assumed several hundred. It makes me a bit uncomfortable that these 409 characters will multiply into 1.6 megabytes in the next few hours. > Every so often we wonder if nettime, as a project, still makes sense. > Without fail, when doubts grow, the quality of the discussions picks up > and shows once again a desire for exchanges that aren't reduced to > hierarchical post-versus-comment formats, 'personalized' social network > malls, or the prison of 'real-time.' # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: http://mx.kein.org/mailman/listinfo/nettime-l # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: [email protected]
