<nettime> Cookies from strangers ? |
Decided against accepting cookies from strangers ? Check your cookie file with a text editor (under Netscape 4.0 its called MagicCookie in your system folder) it should look something like this; ---- # Netscape HTTP Cookie File # http://www.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html # This is a generated file! Do not edit. .doubleclick.net TRUE / FALSE 1920499140 id 1621e47f ---- Now remember this is a generated file don't edit it under any circumstances !!! It could confuse the dirty old marketing people who want to fiddle with your hard disk.... Some people have even been using a randomiser like Tom Harringtons 'Cookies Revenge' (applescript only) found at ftp://ftp.rmi.net//pub2/tph/cookie/cookies-revenge.sit.hqx and this could really chew up a large cookie file very quickly and efficiently...
