1. The GBN is conspicuously silent. Remember that the recent DC/Marvel
conflict is being staged as an ALIEN EXPERIMENT.

2. Keep an eye on EDGE. Sources suggest GBN, following self-fulfilling
Asian Crisis "scenario," conceals all public statements in 14th page
of Reality Club discussions. Possible code phrases activating sleeper
agents: "CONSCIOUSNESS IS A BIG SUITCASE" - MARVIN MINSKY, "World
Domination, Corporate Cubism and Alien Mind Control at Digerati Dinner"
- UPSIDE Magazine. Hypothesis: GBN members already beings of pure
energy/exited this dimension?

3. JOHN BROCKMAN is clearly a Conspiracy Dupe. Among EDGE "contributors"
are both TECHNOREALISTS and LIBERTARIANS, belying the "fact" that the
TECHNOREALISTS are a "grassroots" movement.

4. FEED discussion of TECHNOREALISM to be sponsored by SAP. STEVEN
JOHNSON and STEFANIE SYMAN may be aware that TECHNOREALISM is a front;
collaborators in the Conspiracy.

5. MARISA BOWE lost her position as Editor-in-Chief of Word only days
ago. Coincidence? Or repercussion?

6. The EFF began handing out free memberships to contributors to its
CYBERLIFE effort, led be MIKE GODWIN of the MEDIA STUDIES CENTER and
the FREEDOM FORUM. A proactive countermeasure, perhaps?

7. JOHN PERRY BARLOW was sent on assignment to Africa by WIRED to
survey the Frontier. (See WIRED 6.01.) Perhaps this was more than a
fact-finding mission?

8. The TECHNOREALISTS struck when WIRED was at its most vulnerable,
like the Death Star before its completion - LOUIS ROSSETTO now appears
at the _bottom_ of the WIRED masthead, while Executive Editor KEVIN
KELLY is on a leave of absence. Former V-Girl MARTHA BAER, presently
Managing Editor of WIRED, has not yet aligned herself pro or con
TECHNOREALIST. But there is no middle ground to the middle ground.

9. MARK DERY has not been "tapped." The Movement is specifically
excluding DERY, perhaps forcing him to be the sole flag-bearer for the
NEO-LUDDITES. Prediction: TED BYFIELD will be outing DERY as
STAHLMAN on the NETTIME list, based on STAHLMAN'S recurring MKULTRA
flashbacks.

10. STEVE SILBERMAN is the key to the puppet government. His remote
"Zen Fu" will be a powerful weapon for the TECHNOREALIST cause.
"Distance learning," indeed.

11. SIMSON GARFINKEL (playful "Simon and Garfunkel" contraction
obviously a pseudonym) is attempting contact with the "computer
undergrounds" of foreign governments. Is working on hush-hush project
with MIT. Plant? Puppet master? Planning infowar first strike?

12. NET sees DAVID BENNAHUM-launched MEME 4.02 as damage and routes
around it. Wired schoolteachers, however, rally to the cause and
become gene pool carriers of the MEDIA VIRUS.

13. Information wants neither to be free, protected, or, in DAVID
SHENK's enlightened TECHNOBABBLEFREESPEAK, a sack of potatoes. We
learn, in late 1999, that INFORMATION WANTS TO BE PERSONIFIED.

14. DOUGLAS RUSHKOFF to be fall guy/scapegoat. His childish desire
for the kindness of strangers could be used to probe for insider
details. May save self by using his ECSTASY CLUB insider knowledge to
"break time." ZIPPIES and PRONOIDS could join with TECHNORAVERS to
form loose funk alliance.

15. DAVID HUDSON to form the first splinter group? Has been "eyeing
this technorealism schtick" "somewhat suspiciously." PAULINA BORSOOK
has been assigned to bring HUDSON back into fold, but without success.
Paramilitary links with Baader-Meinhof still not ruled out, despite
denials.
