[Nettime-nl] Activistische Videoclips in Volkskrantgebouw, nieuw ArtLab PLANETART

Na 9/11 en de periode post-Fortuyn en van Gogh worden sommige 
activistische clips duizenden keren gedownload van Youtube. Clips van 
jonge Nederlands-Marokkaanse en Antilliaanse rapppers met een duidelijke 
boodschap.

Nieuw in Amsterdam:

AMSTERDAM- Wat hebben activistische videoclips, een opgezette pony en 
open source laser graffiti met elkaar te maken? Ze zijn onderdeel van 
het programma in het nieuwe artlab van PLANETART in het voormalige 
Volkskrantgebouw.
11 september is de opening van de eerste nu al spraakmakende 
tentoonstelling over underdogposities van jonge Marokkanen en Moslims 
die zich uiten in kritische, rauwe en radicale videoclips. De 
tentoonstelling in de omgebouwde entreehal bestaat uit diverse rebelse 
videoclips, schokkend filmmateriaal en confronterende kunstwerken.

Het nieuwe artlab aan de Wibautstraat is een project van PLANETART, ook 
bekend van de Kraakmoskee, de Kunstvlaai en het GOGBOT festival in 
Enschede. PLANETART fungeert als katalysator in de nieuwe broedplaats 
van het oude Volkskrantgebouw, waar 250 creatievelingen werkzaam zijn op 
het gebied van multi media. Ook wil PLANETART met haar structurele 
programma een stimulerende bijdrage leveren aan de beeldende kunst en 
publieke discussie in Amsterdam.

Nov: Streetart Today, Dec: Worm goes Amsterdam.


Tentoonstelling: Appa, Salah Edin, Kempi, Kiddo Cee + Old-school 
specials by Public Enemy, NWA, Ice-T, Eminem and Artwork by Via Oral en 
Jaap de Vries.

New in Amsterdam:

AMSTERDAM- What do activist videoclips, a stuffed pony and open source 
laser graffiti have in common? They are all part of the programme at the 
new PLANETART ArtLab in the former Volkskrantbuilding.
September 11 is the Opening of the already heavily discussed exhibition 
on underdogpositions of young Moroccans and Muslims expressing in 
critical, raw and radical video clips.
The exhibition in the old entrance hall exists out of several rebellion 
videoclips, shocking film material and confronting works of art.

The new artlab at the Wibautstraat is a project of PLANETART, known from 
the Kraakmoskee (squatted mosque), the Kunstvlaai/API and the GOGBOT 
festival in Enschede. PLANETART works as a catalyst in the new creative 
space of the old Volkskrantgebouw, where 250 creative people work at the 
area of multi media. Besides this, PLANETART would like to make a 
structural progamme to contribute to the contemporary art and public 
discussion in Amsterdam.
