---------- Mesaj redirecÅionat ----------

(for English please scroll down)

 Coordonatorii *Gazetei de ArtÄ PoliticÄ* â Mihaela Michailov, David
Schwartz, IonuÅ Sociu Åi Marius Bogdan Tudor â vÄ invitÄ la lansarea
numÄrului 2:

   - *Miercuri 1 mai, orele 19.00 â BucureÅti - Dianei4 (str. Dianei nr. 4)
   *

   film;

Ãn *G.A.P.* *#2* puteÅi gÄsi:
         texte de Augusto Boal, Irina Costache, Valentina Iancu, Vladan
Jeremic&Rena Raedle, Mihai Lukacs, Nicolae Mandea, Mihaela Michailov, David

The coordinators of the *Gazeta de ArtÄ PoliticÄ *â Mihaela Michailov, David
Schwartz, IonuÅ Sociu and Marius Bogdan Tudor â invite you to the launching
of its second issue:
         Wednesday, May 1st, 19.00 â Bucharest, Dianei4 (Str. Dianei no.
4), Bucharest
*Gazeta de ArtÄ PoliticÄ *discusses, theorizes and promotes art which takes
a socio-political stance.
*G.A.P. *takes a radical approach to art in Romania and in countries facing
similar struggles (in the Eastern European and Post-Soviet space, the
Middle East, Asia, Latin America).
*G.A.P.* adopts an egalitarian and horizontal perspective on
socio-political art, focusing on labor and power relations and placing more
emphasis on working groups and less on artistic individualities.
*G.A.P. *connects art to the political perspective of theoreticians and
practitioners outside the artistic field.
*G.A.P. *is a publication* *of both critical reflection and action which
focuses on the performing arts.
The theme of this second issue is *Labor and Laborers: Representations,
Contexts and Relations in Art Institutions*. The topics tackled in this
issue of *G.A.P. *follow two directions:
         Representations of labor, workers and work/production relations
in various artistic fields â literature, visual arts, theatre and film;
         Work conditions and power relations in various artistic
environments, especially institutionalized ones â state theatre, film
production, series and commercials;
Starting from these frameworks, we aim to initiate a discussion about the
degree of visibility of labor and laborers in art projects, as well as
about the precariousness of the artistsâ own working conditions. With these
frameworks set, we might perhaps begin to understand where and in what way
new solidarities and common manifestations can be built.
In *G.A.P. #2* you will find:
         Articles by Augusto Boal, Irina Costache, Valentina Iancu, Vladan
Jeremic&Rena RÃdle, Mihai Lukacs, Nicolae Mandea, Mihaela Michailov, David
Schwartz, IonuÈ Sociu, Marius Tudor, Art Young;
         Interviews with writer Radu Aldulescu, prop master Cristi Badea,
visual artist Matei Bejenaru, stage manager Zoe Costache, machinist Costel
Neagu;
         Drawings by Lauren Èiu Ridichie.
