[oldboys] warmer welcome less line breaks.

Hello all you old and new old boys!

Congratulations to you old,old boys for all the work in putting this
list together. I can't wait to hear more about the very cyberfem event.
Here goes a brief intro to myself and some kind of update for Susanne,
(who I see most irregularly in berlino).

I'm co-founder of the faces mailing list (guessing that many of you are
on it as well?) that is run by Vali Djordjevic, Kathy Rae Huffman et
moi! We hosted the early discussion for the first cyberfeminist
international in Kassel - I have to say I'm still confused over some of
that cyberfeminism vs. feminism discussion that took place back then.
If you were there, you know what I mean ;)

Those of you that were at that wonderfully, professionally organized
faces meeting at bootlab will be pleased to know that we finally dealt
with all kinds of horrendous paperwork and trips to the bank and are
now a legal institution in Germany! I'll keep you posted on future
workshops - tech/talk etc. And if you are in berlin, please drop by,
liz vlx arranged a fantastic new coffe machine here - hint hint.
There is room for small presentations, so don't be shy!

Maybe some of you are following the xxero thing a bit - i'll post some
info here soon. I'm trying to get the hang of the MOO now - and plan to
build up an area on cyberfeminist diets and political bananas.
I'm still doing some research for this, but will send more on that
when its ready.

Ctrl Alt Delete/double click/ask your neighbor/etc
keywords from last summer's job - teaching computer skills to women at
IFU. WOW what an experience. The team I worked with was great - Barbara
are
you here? She's a babe. That was a fantastic time and the women there
were
just incredible. Faith had a small taste during her talk there.

It might be that I'm one of the bad investors in cf, but at least with
an eye on the long-term returns. For me, all of the above amounts to
some
form of cyberfeminist practice, but can I just quote vns:

> The female body is the most contested zone, pharmacutical and genetic
> engeneering corporations are vying for the territory. Cyberfeminism is
> knowlege. Cyberfeminism is activism.

and say ditto to that.

viele gruesse,

Diana
