Performance von Dave Allen zum 85. Geburtstag von Edith Ru�

Vorlage dieser Performance ist eine Komposition aus dem Repertoire des 
Vereins zur F�rderung aktueller Musik, oh-ton. Dave Allen unternimmt den 
nahezu unm�glichen Versuch, ein Musikst�ck mit Hilfe einer Gegenkomposition 
in einen Zustand der Stille zu versetzen: Die Klangwellen der 
Ursprungsmusik mit ihren H�hen und Tiefen werden in seiner Komposition 
umgekehrt - mit dem Ziel der totalen Aufhebung des Klangs beim vollkommen 
synchronen Spiel beider Musikst�cke.

Die Ausstellung "Dave Allen, Naomi Ben-Shahar, Bernadette Corporation" ist 
bis zum 1. Februar 2004 zu sehen.

"Inverted oh-ton"

Performance by Dave Allen on the occasion of Edith Russ' 85th birthday

The basis of this performance are compositions from the repertoire of 
oh-ton, a collective for the advancement of contemporary music. Dave Allen 
attempts what is nearly impossible: by creating an anti-composition he will 
try to "silence" the music. The sound waves of the original musik will be 
inverted in their highs and lows for the second composition with the goal 
of completely erasing all sound while playing both pieces of music.

The exhibition "Dave Allen, Naomi Ben-Shahar, Bernadette Corporation" is 
open until February 1, 2004.
