A network of creative communication between the cultural capitals.

Cafe9.net kindly invites you for the opening of the project on September
1 at 18:00 h in the Brussels 2000 Centre.
Media space Centre/Centrum Bruxelles/Brussel 2000
Schildknaapstraat 50 rue de l'Ecuyer - 1000 Brussels

Cafe9.net will demonstrate to a diverse public how internet can be a
tool for creative exchange between users and artists. Approximately ten
interactive websites have been created in the different cities. People
can participate online in several workshops and debates. These
interactive events will be projected on a large video screen in the
Media space. Cafe9.net is a truly international and creative project
running for two months in eight European cities.

Program for the opening:

18:00-19:00 h: Every city involved presents its activities.
19:00-20:00 h: Interactive project; Max Tundra mixes sounds from the
database Distorted media. At the same time Katastro.fi from Helsinki
transmits images from the participating cities. This mix of sound and
vision will be broadcast live and simultaneously in every city.
20:00-23:00 h: Hopping from one participating city to another, their
opening activities will be shown live on screen.
