BRAZIL : One Minute World Festival [no date given, presumably late autumn 1996]

          MEN: big, small, medium sized, entrepreneurs, estructive,
    diabolic, honest, corrupt, writers, actors, lawyers, policemen,
    beggars, anxious, hurried, and ... The One Minute Festival 1996
 will be greatly Human. We invite you to talk about yourself, talk
           about the other ... In 1996, the proposed macro theme is:
                       Autobiographies, Biographies, and Characters ...

The One Minute World Festival, is a video festival Open to professionals
and amateurs, who can participate with any Kind of movie, and with less
than one minute long.


        Film, Video, Photography, Literature. This year, we are proposing a
     parallel activity besides the moving images - The Literatur and Photo
          Competition. The concept is the same present in the Festival: the
 SYNTHESIS. The means are different. With a photographic camera in hands
     or a few words crossing your mind, we invite you to click instants or
           produce a text with 05 lines, at the most, in the proposed theme:
                               Autobiographies, Biographies, and Characters ...

VI ONE MINUTE WORLD FESTIVAL

1- Works can be made in any type of equipment which produces moving images.
2- The minimum permitted length of each work is 01 second, and the maximum
permitted length is 60 seconds. Picturemakers will have 10 complementary
seconds for credit insertion.

THEME AND AWARDS
3- The proposed macro theme is ?Autobiographies, Biographies, and Characters?.
4- Four works will be awarded. Each award is composed of 01 trophy and US$
3,000.

ENTRIES AND DEADLINE
9- The cost for entering the One Minute Festival is US$ 15 (fifteen
American dollars) for each entered work. (Do not send us checks)
11- All picturemakers entering the festival shall receive, free of charge,
01 event catalog by mail, by March 97. Picturemakers shall opt for a
printed catalog or CD-ROM format in the application form. Those who wish to
have both catalogs shall pay an additional fee of US$ 10 (ten American
dollars) , for malling expenses.
12- Works shall be sent to ONE MINUTE FESTIVAL , sole and exclusively by mail:

13- Deadline for delivery of works is AUGUST 30, 1996 (letters posted to
this date shall be accepted). For each entered work, an entering form shall
be enclosed. The form shall be delivered together with the work(s).


LITERATURE  AND  PHOTO  COMPETITION

THEME AND AWARDS
1-The theme of the competition is Autobiographies, Biographies, and Characters.
2- 02 PHOTOS and 02 TEXTS shall be awarded. Each award is composed of one
air ticket: for Brazilians, a round trip to New York; for foreigners, a
round trip from his/her country to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
6- The entering fee is US$ 15.00 (fifteen American dollars), regardless of
the number of entered works.; Do not send us checks. Authors shall enclose
a picture (3x4) in the application form.

DEADLINE, COPYRIGHTS, AND CD-ROM
11- Deadline for the entry of works is  AUGUST/30/1996 (works posted to
this date shall be accepted).

If you are still under 14, make a video up to a minute long and take part
in the One Minute Kids. The theme is free. Call us and ask for the rules.
