Syndicate: 60 000 DM Greetings

Happy New Year, Syndicate! 

To jingle in the new year, Uwe Buchler of the Werkleitz Gesellschaft has
sent out a note informing that the Stadtsparkasse Magdeburg (a bank) is
offering 2 Art Prizes for 1998. 

Each is a 60 000,-- DM grant for a year's stipendium in the city of
Magdeburg (capital city of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, and famous
for the Magedeburger Kugel experiments in the existance of air as
substance). The grant money must also be used for living and studio
expenses, so not quite the entire amount is available straight up.
