Dear friends,

We are really very happy to inform you that we organize this year 
the XI edition of the international forum for computer arts COMPUTER 
SPACE '99. This event will take place as usual in the National Palace 
of Culture in Sofia from 12 to 16 October 1999. The computer art 
forum includes exhibitions, seminars, conferences, concerts and shows 
in the sphere of almost all computer arts: computer graphics, 
animation, computer and electronic music, interactive arts, WWW arts. 
Computer Space is the biggest and most popular computer art event in 
Bulgaria. Artists and companies from all over the world show their 
best achievements, share their ideas and discuss on the future of 
computer and electronic arts.  General aim of COMPUTER  SPACE '99 is 
to present the best achievements of computer arts and the influence 
of new media in the society. The international forum will have 2 
topical workshops- 1. TV and radio in Internet and  2. DVD - 
technology and artists work. 

This year there will be THREE contest categories: 

1. Computer graphics pictures

2. WWW design (the contest is organized in cooperation with Internet 
society - Bulgaria)

3. Computer animation

Up to 5 art works of each of category will be awarded. The author 
could participate with up to 3 works.

If you find our  suggestion interesting and if you want to partisipate
in COMPUTER SPACE 99 please send your applications to:

The application package must include:

1. Abstract/Description of the project (up to 1 page)

2. Brief CV of the author(s) (up to 1/2 page)

3. B/W photo of the author(s) on his/her workplace or picture from 
the artwork

4. Demo of the artwork (on video, audio tape, CD, or printed visual 
material)

Applications should be sent by post. The abstract and CV could be 
sent by E-mail only for non-official purposes or in case of 
questions. Please, send a 3,5" floppy disk with the CV and the 
abstract in Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 format and, eventually, 
photo or picture. Don't forget to write your address, phone/fax 
number and E-mail. Please, mark on the letter cover that the package 
is for non-commercial purposes.

Deadline for receiving the applications: 10.09.1999. Authors are
welcome to send their proposals and to contact organizers well ahead
of the deadline.

In case of acceptance , organizers of  COMPUTER SPACE 99 will cover
the hotel (** or ***) for 4 nights in Sofia, will include the 
selected participants in the forum catalogue and will offer a free 
access to all events. For more information about last editions of
