Vernisaj > Marti(26.05) > 19:00

ARTISTI: Adrian Preda, Amalia Dulhan, Florin Pantilimon, Mihaela Paraschivu, George Anghelescu, Stefan Ungureanu, Alina Spatariu, Doina Roman, Iulia Morcov, Radu Tartan, Ioana Ursa, ZangaÂ

...................................................................

[d]GALLERY is an 'artist-run' space. A gallery for young artists and the new art, without pretending to be only an experimental space, is dedicated almost exclusively to the generations that belong to globalization as a determinative factor, to virtual interconnectivity and the use of free information.
The present moment and the contemporary society with its avatars, represent the logistical coordinates where the artists of this gallery situate their artistic explorations and find their sources of inspiration, keeping a nostalgic appreciation for the first consumerist elements of the 90's that have become iconic for this generation.
The concept of the gallery is very much like the artists that it promotes, it is in a continous transformation, flexible, without intending to become a commercial device for artists, acting only as an 'artist-friendly' environment.
The gallery is dedicated to showing individual and group projects that are contemporary, original in subject or realization; a website for the gallery is scheduled to be launched in the near future, on which occasion a call for projects for artists and curators will be opened.

F1rst sampleÂis exactly what the title says, a sample of young art, being at the same time the first exhibition to inaugurate the [d]GALLERY.

Opening > Tuesday(26.05) > 19h00

ARTISTS: Adrian Preda, Amalia Dulhan, Florin Pantilimon, Mihaela Paraschivu, George Anghelescu, Stefan Ungureanu, Alina Spatariu, Doina Roman, Iulia Morcov, Radu Tartan, Ioana Ursa, Zanga

The square shape, a metaphoric oversized 'thumbnail' of their current artistic work, is the only common feature among the artworks.
The exhibition doesn't have a theme, it is merely a pretext for artists to exhibit together, in a new space, dedicated to them and to other newly emerging artists.
Because of personal considerations, the artists invited to exhibit know each other and have a history together, the resemblances between the works (technique / subject / coloring) are just coincidences that can be labeled as proofs of their common education and background.
'F1rst sample' is also an artists promoting concept of the gallery, and it is meant to be continued in the future by selecting new artists (for group exhibitions of the "sample" series followed by solo shows).
